New York Chiropractic College held its Fall 2020 Commencement Ceremony online on Saturday, Dec. 5, recognizing students for their exceptional accomplishments.

The final graduating class of 2020 was celebrated during a virtual ceremony honoring more than 100 students who earned Doctor of Chiropractic or Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies degrees. Several hundred friends, family and members of the NYCC community logged on to watch as degrees were conferred during the online event.

Awards for excellence in community service, leadership and clinical practice were presented during the ceremony by NYCC President Dr. Michael Mestan, who also delivered welcoming and closing remarks. "You will now go out into the world and change it for the better," he said. "We honor your desire to do so; we celebrate with you and we know you will do us proud."

Faculty members included special video messages for the graduates and the keynote address was delivered by NYCC Trustee Emeritus John Rosa (D.C. '92). Dr. Rosa discussed the deep need for their expertise in today's world, expressing concern about the level of unhealthiness in America, beyond the COVID virus, and the need for change. "You are at the height of all tipping points in making a difference in society," Rosa said.
