During its June 2018 meeting, New York Chiropractic College's (NYCC) Board of Trustees extended appreciation to two outgoing Trustees and a warm welcome to two new members of the Board.

Mr. Bob Kernan (Seneca Falls, N.Y.) and Mr. Walter McCarthy (Sandy Hook, C.T.) have each served on the Board for 15 years and will complete their final terms of service in October of this year. As well, two new Trustees were elected: David G. Bennett, J.D., D.C., and Menzo D. Case. Dr. Bennett is a 2004 graduate of New York Chiropractic College who practices in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Mr. Case is president and CEO of Generations Bank of Seneca Falls. Both will begin their tenure on the Board in October.

The Board also voted to name former trustee and chairperson John P. Rosa, DC '92 as Trustee Emeritus in recognition of his years of service.

As well, the Board elected Frank Lizzio, D.C., as chair-elect. Dr. Lizzio, a 1980 NYCC alumnus, was elected to the Board in 2007 and works in private practice and the Veterans Administration in the Bronx, New York. He will assume chairmanship in June 2019, succeeding Dr. Thomas DeVita '75.

Dr. Michael Mestan, president of New York Chiropractic College, expressed the College's appreciation for the strong leadership and dedication of these trustees, saying, "The College's commitment to the pursuit of excellence in education and profession could not happen without the wealth of knowledge, dedication and experience brought to the Board of Trustees by these outstanding leaders. Their service to the Board has earned our sincerest thanks."
