Counseling Services

Counseling is a collaborative effort between the counselor and client. Counselors help clients to develop goals and identify solutions to problems that cause emotional distress and impact individual wellness.

We are committed to providing exceptional care by enhancing your overall wellness and the academic mission of NYCC through counseling, outreach, and education.

  • Group counseling

  • Wellness programming
  • Consultation with faculty & staff
  • Help with community referrals
  • Online resources

Services for Faculty and Staff

Counselors are available to consult with students, faculty, staff, and administrators who wish to help students or colleagues, or have questions or concerns about campus-wide mental health issues.

Counselors provide workshops, training seminars, and brief presentations aimed at improving the mental health and well-being of the campus community. Counselors also offer individual consultation and group presentations to foster awareness and understanding of mental health issues in Chiropractic or AOM professional practice.

Counseling services are also available on a short term, no charge basis to NYCC faculty and staff.
