As part of its commitment to developing strong future healthcare leaders, Northeast College of Health Sciences provides students with more than 20 different scholarship opportunities. These aid options support the College's dedication to providing outstanding healthcare education that is both inclusive and more accessible.

Majority of Chiropractic Students Receive Scholarships

Each year Northeast presents more than 500 financial awards, with students receiving nearly three-quarters of a million dollars to supplement the cost of their education. Many of these scholarships are based on academic achievements, but Northeast also provides international, legacy, and essay-based awards.

On average, more than 90 percent of incoming chiropractic students at the College are awarded a Presidential Scholarship, and many other awards are available throughout students' Northeast educations.

A big part of the College's mission of fostering leadership and academic excellence, scholarships provide opportunities for students who otherwise may not be able to attend graduate school. The awards also allow students to focus on their studies, rather than on finding ways to finance their educations.

Northeast College's chiropractic students are eligible for merit-based scholarships and the competitive Presidential Scholarship, which is based on a completed application and essay submission. Scholarship award amounts vary, and students can receive more than one scholarship at any given time during their education at Northeast.

Investment in Future Security

A graduate degree is an important investment. With a healthcare degree comes the probability of a lucrative professional path that provides stability. In 2021, U.S. News and World Report ranked chiropractors as one of the top 20 professions with the best job security. That may be in part due to high demand: the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics anticipates demand for chiropractors to grow by 12% by 2026 -- faster than the average for all occupations.

Northeast College funds many of the awards, while others are made possible through generous donations from individual donors, alumni, chiropractic organizations and foundations.

How to Secure Financial Aid

Northeast College's expert financial aid team helps determine what scholarship and aid is sensible for each applicant and guides the application process. For most scholarships at Northeast, all a student must do is apply for consideration.

In addition to providing scholarship opportunities, the Office of Financial Aid at Northeast provides individualized counseling, group seminars and webinars on budgeting and debt management.

"Scholarships are one of the many ways Northeast remains deeply committed to our students and the profession," said Director of Financial Aid Darrin Rooker. "We are here to ease the application process and let students know all of the scholarships available to them. In fact, upon acceptance into our Doctor of Chiropractic program, we invite students to attend one of our comprehensive financial aid sessions. This helps break down the process and allows students to ask questions."
