Required Employee HERO Act Training (09.15.21)

Dear Northeast College Employees,

From previous communications, you know that the NYS Commissioner of Health officially designated COVID-19 as a "highly contagious communicable disease that presents a serious risk of harm to the public health" and that, as per the state's HERO Act, this designation requires all employers to review and activate the appropriate portions of their infection control plans.

As part of that activation, Northeast College distributed a text copy of our updated infection control plan to employees via ADP. As is also required in the HERO Act, we are now also providing you with a link to a video that reviews the HERO Act, the College's plan, the plan's requirements, and what the plan's activation means for you:

Please note that you are required to watch this video, and we ask you do so during your regular working hours by close of business, Tuesday, September 21. With some apologies, I must also share that this video stars yours truly. Though there are *clearly* no Emmys in my future, the video will provide you with the verbal training and information mandated by the HERO Act. Enjoy!
