Employee Update on the NYS Travel Advisory (July 23, 2020)

Dear NYCC Employees,

As you know, New York State has joined with New Jersey and Connecticut in issuing a travel advisory for anyone returning from travel to states with significant degrees of community-wide spread of COVID-19.

The list of states on the NYS travel advisory is found at **Please note: this list changes regularly, based on states' current testing data. It is important you check the list for the most recent information.

Consequently, travel to other states is discouraged.

If you intend to travel to one of the restricted states, be aware that you will be required to take certain health-safety actions -- which may include taking a COVID-19 test and/or self-isolating for 14 days -- upon your return to New York. Please contact your supervisor as soon as possible, but no less than one week prior to your planned departure, to discuss your travel plans. Your supervisor will contact Human Resources and will be in touch with you to outline the State-required steps you will need to be cleared to return to work.
