A student's signature is needed to release a transcript, therefore, requests cannot be taken over the telephone or over the Internet. The policy is strictly enforced to protect the privacy of students. Requests for transcripts can be made in person at the Registrar's Office, by written request, or by fax, provided the request bears the signature of the student. There is no fee for transcripts.
Official transcripts are mailed directly to an authorized agency such as a state board, educational institution, professional society or organizations, but are not issued to students. Unofficial transcripts are issued directly to students. An unofficial transcript is stamped "Unofficial Transcript" and does not bear Northeast's seal.
All requests for transcripts must use the Transcript Request Form or you may send a request directly to the Registrar's office and include the following information:
- Name while attending the College
- Current name, if different
- Student's signature
- Address where transcripts should be mailed
