Gary Tarola, DC, FACO is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic and obtained his Diplomate status in Chiropractic Orthopedics from the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists. He served as president and chairman of the board of the Pennsylvania Chiropractic Society (PCS), and received the Chiropractor of the Year award from the PCS and Senatorial Proclamation of Accomplishments from the Pennsylvania State Senate.
Dr. Tarola was a consultant to the formulation of the Guidelines for Chiropractic Quality Assurance and Practice Parameters and the Council on Chiropractic Guidelines and Practice Parameters. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and contributed to chapters in volumes two and three of Principles and Practice of Chiropractic.
He is currently section chief of the division of Chiropractic Medicine, Lehigh Valley Physician Group.
Mario Fucinari, DC, CCSP, CPCO, MCS-P, MCS-I has helped train doctors and staff over the last 20 years. He received his bachelor's degree from Wayne State University in Detroit and his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1986.
After graduating from Palmer College, Dr. Fucinari completed studies in chiropractic orthopedics and attained his certification as a chiropractic sports physician (CCSP). He is also a certified insurance consultant and a member of the American Academy of Professional Coders. He currently practices full time in Decatur, Illinois.
Dr. Fucinari was the recipient of the 1998 and the 2003 President's Award from the Illinois Chiropractic Society for his work with education and training. Dr. Fucinari has produced classes and publications on HIPAA, Clinical Documentation, Medicare, and Stroke and Cervical Manipulation. He is a national speaker for NCMIC and several state associations.
David Hogsed, DOM, AP is in full-time practice with his father, James Hogsed, D.C., at the Natural Healthcare Professionals clinic in Fort Myers, Florida. His practice specializes in providing effective nutritional support for endocrine, digestion, musculoskeletal, and immune system health.
Dr. Hogsed has taught postgraduate programs through Texas Chiropractic College, Logan Chiropractic College, the University of Miami-Miller School of Medicine, Palmer Chiropractic College, Life University, and Northwestern Chiropractic College. He has served as a clinical consultant and seminar speaker for Standard Process since 2003 and is currently a postgraduate faculty member of Texas Chiropractic College. These inspiring nutrition seminars focus on giving healthcare professionals the tools they need to successfully integrate nutrition into practice.
Michael Hillenbrand, DC, MS, LAc has helped people cultivate wellness and remove pain since 1994. He began his education with extensive training in Shiatsu, a mode of therapeutic bodywork, and continued advanced training in cranial and visceral manipulation. Dr. Hillenbrand has trained with world-renowned teachers in hands-on techniques, as well as with chiropractors, acupuncturists, physical therapists, and osteopaths.
He also has extensive training in modalities such as manual lymphatic drainage, Trager, Zero Balancing, neuromuscular and myofascial therapies. During his training at New York Chiropractic College, he focused on the cultivation of his hands-on skills. He also received a Master of Science in Acupuncture from the Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine of NYCC.
Dr. Hillenbrand is one of the few chiropractors/acupuncturists that has extensive manual therapy training and also worked in hospital settings, such as Clifton Springs Hospital and the Rochester VA Medical Center. He teaches anatomy part time at a number of colleges. He practices clinically full time, with part time teaching at an acupuncture school and a chiropractic college. He currently has locations in Philadelphia, Bryn Mawr, Manayunk and Wayne.
Joshua Kollmann, DC, MS, CCSP, CSCS, NASM PES/CES received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College. He has extensive education and experience in treating all levels of athletic needs as well as musculoskeletal conditions. He earned his master's degree in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention from the California University of Pennsylvania, as well as a bachelor's degree in kinesiology from Pennsylvania State University.
Dr. Kollmann has advanced training in treating soft-tissue injuries, including full-body certification in Active Release Techniques (ART) and Graston Technique. He is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Dr. Kollmann has the distinction of being a Performance Enhancement Specialist with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), which provides advanced skills to evaluate human movement. Building on a broad base of knowledge, he is certified in both acupuncture and dry-needle specializations. Dr. Kollmann is also proud to call himself a member of the PGA medical team.
Not only does Dr. Kollmann treat athletes at various events, but he is an avid triathlete and competitor. An accomplished Ironman, Kollmann competed in Ironman events in Lake Placid, Arizona, Louisville, and Cozumel. He is also a USA Triathlon level 1 coach.
Kristina L. Petrocco-Napuli, DC, MS is currently an associate professor at National University of Health Sciences-Florida. She completed her Doctor of Chiropractic degree at New York Chiropractic College, and following graduation entered a postdoctoral fellowship program within chiropractic technique. She also received a master's degree in instructional design development and evaluation from Syracuse University.
Dr. Petrocco-Napuli has a strong interest in women's health, chronic pain, and integrative care. She is frequently sought after as a national speaker and has a strong interest in clinical and educational research.
Daniel Richardson, MSc, PhD, DAANC received his bachelor's, master's and PhD degrees from Loyola University, Stritch School of Medicine in Pharmacology and Pharmocognosy. He is a prominent expert in nutrition and botanical medicine, having given several seminars around the world to all areas of the healthcare professions. He is a Diplomate in the American Association of Nutrition Consultants, and is a Certified Nutrition Consultant. He is professor and chair of the Department of Nutrition and Biochemical Therapeutics and the Department of Undergraduate Studies at the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois, as well as professor of nutrition and dean of students at the Chicago National College of Naprapathy. Dr. Richardson has had advanced training in phytochemicals and botanical medicine, and in sports medicine nutrition. He was awarded an honorary Doctor of Naprapathy for his work for the naprapathic profession.
Dr. Richardson is on the post-doctorate faculty at National University of Health Sciences, Logan College of Chiropractic, and the Continuing Education University. His list of postgraduate topics includes all areas of nutrition, pharmacology, pharmacognosy, drug interactions, drug-induced nutrient depletions, nutrition for sports physician certification program, and nutrition for the Diplomate in Sports Medicine for chiropractic physicians. He has spoken on these and other topics both in this country and in Europe. He has made several appearances on radio and television as an expert on topics in nutrition, botanical medicine, pharmacognosy and pharmacology. He has received many awards for excellence in his presentations from his students and his peers.
Clayton Shiu, Lac, PhD, MTOM received a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Acupuncture and Moxibustion at the Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a highly regarded teaching facility and the largest acupuncture and moxibustion center in China. His research was on acupuncture treatment for cerebral disorders under the tutelage of Dr. Shi Xue Min, the pioneer of modern acupuncture stroke treatment, at the distinguished First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Dr. Shiu was awarded a special scholarship by the Chinese government to undertake this position as part of continued efforts by both the Chinese and United States governments to facilitate greater knowledge exchange between the countries.
Having trained in both Western and Chinese medicine, as well as treating many patients with acupuncture at the referral of some of the United States' best physicians, Dr. Shiu is at the forefront of integrating Western medicine with acupuncture
for best patient care. He is also in a unique position to bridge the philosophical and practical differences between Western and Eastern medicine, and has developed communication techniques that improve understanding for medical practitioners and patients alike.
In addition to being a licensed chiropractor and an international expert in human anatomy, Michael Zumpano, PhD, DC is an Anthropologist; an expert in human culture and variation and trained in holistic system analysis. This means that he is able to analyze and discover the cause of your pain. Treatment is centered on finding the problem and fixing the problem, not just treating the pain.
As a Professor at New York Chiropractic College, he is always current in the new chiropractic techniques, and will always be current and up-to-date in human anatomy and biomechanics.
