Student Life
Situated in the picturesque Finger Lakes region of New York
State, the main campus of New York Chiropractic College overlooks
Cayuga Lake, just outside the village of Seneca Falls. There’s
a convenient campus bookstore, exceptional dining facility, gym
with Olympic-size pool, tennis courts, many intramural sport
options, even a driving range and golf course – features
for fun and a well-rounded student life.
Off-campus you’ll find the Finger Lakes area to be a fabulous
recreational playground with wineries, nature reserves, antique
shops, lakeside settings, and state parks, not to mention a 100-store
outlet mall only minutes away.
Modern Residence Halls
NYCC’s residence halls provide students with a secure
campus environment that offers a social yet private residential
campus life for unmarried and married students, and married students

- Six, spacious, suite-style residence halls
- All suites include single and double bedrooms, a living/study
room, and one or two bathrooms

The Housing Office maintains an extensive list of apartments,
rooms and homes available for students who wish to live off campus.
Exceptional Dining
Operated by the nationally known Sodexho Corporation, our dining
facility is located on the main floor of the Administration Building. All
our dining rooms are aesthetically pleasing, with high ceilings
and 15-foot windows that provide excellent views of the campus
landscape.
- The “Servery” is open daily for students and offers
a variety of excellent meals and snacks, including vegetarian
entrees
- Three dining rooms, seating over 400, serve as eating areas
and as locations for meetings, receptions, luncheons and formal
banquets
- These dining facilities are available for use by the local
community

Convenient Campus Bookstore
The Campus Bookstore is open year ‘round and operated
by the Follett Higher Education Group. It offers:
- All required textbooks available
- Variety of instructional supplies and study materials available,
including medical publications
- Wide variety of beverages, snacks, office supplies, greeting
cards and sundry items
- Complete line of NYCC clothing and gift

Large, Well-Equipped Athletic Center
It’s one of the finest athletic facilities in the region,
over 88,000 square feet, and also hosts our commencement exercises
and other community events. Within the Athletic Center is a 32,000
square-foot gymnasium, which accommodates a variety of recreational,
athletic, cultural and academic functions.
- Four basketball courts – convertible to four tennis
courts
- Three volleyball courts – convertible to four badminton
courts
- Two racquetball/handball courts
- 150 meter, four-lane track
- 3,700 square-foot fitness center featuring cardiovascular
and free weight equipment
- Six-lane, 25 meter, Olympic-size swimming pool
- Aerobics room
- Men’s and women’s locker facilities

The 286-acre NYCC campus boasts a variety of outdoor recreational
venues:

- Two multipurpose athletic fields for soccer, lacrosse, and

volleyball and more

Diverse Student Activities
A variety of student activities are planned throughout the year
to foster student unity and promote a relaxed atmosphere, as
well as a cohesive and supportive student body. Here are just
a few:
Unity Day
- Held each summer to promote an atmosphere of unity among
students, faculty, and staff
- Provides a great opportunity to network with fellow students
and families while enjoying a picnic and outdoor entertainment
OASIS Welcome Dinner
- Hosted by OASIS (Organization Assisting Students In School)
Peer Mentor Program
- As they enter NYCC, students are assigned a Big Brother or
Big Sister to provide peer mentoring
- Special candle light ceremony induction into the NYCC community
highlights this evening
Holiday Dinner
- Informal event held just before finals during the fall trimester
- Opportunity for the NYCC community to celebrate the holiday
season before exams begin
Late Night Breakfast
- A hearty breakfast served to students during finals week
as a study break
