Scholarships

Scholarship opportunities at NYCC

NYCC Merit Scholarships

  • Incoming students who have maintained exemplary academic performance prior to enrollment at NYCC. Requires overall grade point average (GPA) between 3.0 and 3.499, are eligible to receive a Merit Scholarship at $1,500
  • Incoming students with GPAs between 3.5 and 4.0 are eligible for a High Merit Scholarship of $2,500

Both levels of merit scholarships are paid in equal installments for the first two trimesters of enrollment upon the receipt of all official transcripts.

Chiropractic Legacy Scholarships

  • Available to students who are immediate family members of a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic. Awarded to qualified students who have chosen to carry on the family chiropractic tradition! Scholarship value of $2,500

Presidential Scholarships

  • This competitive award open to U.S. applicants is based on a complete application and essay submission, scholarship amounts vary.

Academic Scholarships

  • Awarded to enrolled students in each class in trimesters 1-9, scholarship value of $200-$400 per trimester

NYCC Education Opportunity Award

  • Competitive awards for enrolled students with a minimum GPA of 2.75, financial aid and essay considered! Scholarship value of $400 per trimester
  • Open to those from Canada and countries other than the U.S. based on a completed application, scholarship value of $1,000

Regents Professional Opportunity Scholarship

  • All students enrolled in our Chiropractic program are eligible, scholarship values of up to $5,000. Based on total family income and cost of attendance, payment of awards may be made for up to four years of study
  • Scholarship recipients must agree to practice their chosen profession in New York State for 12 months for each annual award. If a recipient fails to comply with the requirements concerning approved practice, the full amount of the award(s), plus a penalty, may be recovered by the state
  • To be eligible for an award, a student must meet the following criteria –
    • Enroll full-time as a matriculated student in a New York State institution that offers an approved program for the particular profession
    • Meet United States and New York State citizenship requirements
    • Be economically disadvantaged and/or a member of an underrepresented minority group
